Scrapbook Birthday Invites

Sfregamento del palco e ghiandole preorbitali

Archiviata da oltre un mese la stagione degli amori dei Cervi, rimangono sulla vegetazione alcuni tangible signs of their presence.
This beautiful movie, kindly provided, shows a beautiful adult deer intent to vigorously rub their stage on a young tree.
be emphasized as the animal nose rub in the trunk of the tree, corresponding to the periorbital glands.
These glands (and I quote W. Tarello) are placed just in front of the nose angle of the eye, in the infraorbital sinus (or lacrimatorio) and are especially visible during the mating period.

From this photo you can see quite well their presence:

It is assumed that these glands serve a brand territory, as they are rubbed by adult males on tree trunks and branches of plants, to facilitate the evacuation of the secretion.
